Travel Information

Copper Mountain Resort is best reached by first flying into Denver International Airport (DEN). From there, it is about an hour and a half drive into the mountains.  You can rent a car at the airport from all the major rental companies, or there are mass-transit options. We recommend the Colorado Mountain Express, which has regular departures from DEN to the mountain towns. They have given us a group discounted rate, which you can access through this link: Colorado Mountain Express AIG-12 Rate or by calling +1-970-754-7433 and using the discount code IAG17 (note the error in the spelling of the code).

Once in Copper Mountain, the resort is served by a free shuttle - the Summit Stage that will take you to many other sites and towns throughout the area.  Note that the schedule for the Summit stage will be updated 22 April to reflect the Summer/Fall schedule that will be in effect during our meeting.

If you are driving yourself, the Copper Lodging Front Desk is located at 509 Copper Rd, Copper Mtn, Co 80443. When you turn into Copper, go past the first stop sign and we are the 3rd building on the right, past the Woodward at Copper Barn. Look for the rock sign that says Lodging Check-in and Athletic Club.

If you arrive before 4pm, pre checking-in confirms your reservation and we'll give you your room keys, your check-in packet and a map with directions where you're staying. We'll take your cell phone number and either send you a text or call you when your room is ready.

If you arrive after sundown look for the blue tree above the Lodging Check-in sign (the entrance is before the sign, but if you pass it there's another entrance to the right just ahead).

(more directions available here)

We have arranged for a spectrum of lodging options for the meeting with the Copper Mountain Resort. The rooms are very competitively priced and we urge all conference attendees to stay at the Copper Mountain Resort. The nearest towns with lodging alternatives are more than 10 kilometers away and much less convenient. The variety of lodging options includes hotel-style rooms and condominiums with a full kitchen and 1-3 bedrooms.  Please book your room directly with the Resort by contacting them at +1 866-837-2996. When booking your room, please mention the Applied Isotope Geochemistry Symposium and the booking code 3151 to the booking agent to receive the discounted room rates shown below.
