IAGC members and members of the European Association of Geochemisry (EAG) receive discounted registration rates for AIG-12. An IAGC membership is included in the registration fees for participants who are not already members of the IAGC or EAG. If you are not a dues-paying member of either organization for 2017, $35 will be added to your conference fees, which provides you with an IAGC membership for 1 year. Your new IAGC membership will be active for 2018, and includes a subscription to Elements magazine (hard copy and online access), and helps support student research grants, awards, and working group meetings. We hope you enjoy your IAGC membership and continue with the Society in the future.

Regular and student registrations include the icebreaker, lunch Monday though Friday, the banquet Thursday evening, and of course access to the conference. The accompanying person / spouse registration includes the icebreaker, the banquet, and transportation to various sites / activities during the week.

Abstract Guidelines

Extended abstracts are due August 1, 2017. Abstracts will be handled by Ian Cartwright (Monash University, Australia), and returned to the author for final revision.

During registration, we will ask whether you intend to upload an abstract, and if so, whether you prefer to give an oral presentation or poster. Note that oral slots will be very limited and posters will be given exclusive time in the program, as they will be up all week. In order to present a poster or oral presentation, you must upload an abstract. There is no rigid template for AIG-12 abstracts like many other conferences. Some attendees may choose to only submit a 1 page abstract, while others may opt for a longer "extended abstract" with figures, tables, and references. Regardless of your choice, please follow these guidelines:

  • 1 - 4 pages, including references
  • 0.75 inch margins
  • 10pt font, Times New Roman
  • figures and tables inline
  • You may download the MS Word simple template or full example abstract to use built-in styles.

All abstracts will be archived on the new Applied Isotope Geochemistry website at, which is maintained by the IAGC. We are currently looking into getting DOI numbers for all archived AIG abstracts.

At the time of registration, you only need to enter your contact information. After you submit your registration, you will immediately receive a registration number - write this number down (you will also receive a confirmation email that also includes your registration number but you may want to upload an abstract sooner). You will then have the option to make a payment, but it is not necessary to do so immediately. After registration, you may submit an abstract and make a payment by signing in at the bottom of this page with your email address and the registration number you received during the registration process. You must register in order to upload an abstract, but it is not necessary to make a payment until later.

Payment is by major credit card (through PayPal). A PayPal account is not required for credit card payments in many countries (e.g. United States, Canada, United Kingdom), but PayPal does require residents of some countries to open an account. If you have payment issues, please email the IAGC Business Office Manager, Chris Gardner, at directly for help. We also have the ability to run your credit card over the phone.

Use the form below to begin your registration. IAGC members should enter either their IAGC membership number or email address. EAG members and non-members should click "Register as non-IAGC member." EAG members will have the opportunity to enter their EAG membership number on the following page to receive the discounted registration.
